The vision

Slow Radio was founded by Matthew Verstege, a musician who moved from Canada to Ireland in 2025. Seeing a gap in the local music scene, he decided to put together a group which creates approachable grooves that appeal to the ears and the soul

The goal of Slow Radio is to make friends and music. With time and practice, there may be a time when Slow Radio begins seeking gigs, but this is secondary to our pursuit of creating a sanctuary for creativity and inclusion
